The Colosseum looks to capture the mid summer heat of Rome with one of it's key attractions taking centre stage. Looking down the road of the Via Tor de' Conti the photo is rich in foreground material, most noteably sections of the Colosseum with foliage beneath which acts as a focal point for the painting.
